Q: What does a professional organizer do?
A: A professional organizer is someone who can help you eliminate the stress in your life by creating organization in each room of your home. A professional organizer can also help you sell or donate your unwanted items.
Q: What happens during the session?
A: During the session we both look at the space that needs to be organized, and create a plan based around what works best for you. After we finalize a plan, we will then create solutions that will best work on the room(s) needed.
Q: How many hours will it take?
A: It depends on the space and how many rooms you would like to work on. It generally takes up to 4 hours for one room, but could take longer depending on the size of the room or type of storage available.
Q: Do I need to be home during the session?
A: Yes. I will need a few minutes of your time to purge items in order to create an organized space. Through past experience, I have found that purging is the most important part of the process. It is extremely helpful to declutter before putting items in order. However, it is not necessary to be present for the organizing part.
Q: What should I do before you arrive?
A: Please do not feel like you need to tidy up. This allows both my team and I to assess your living situation in order to see what suits you. We do suggest that you have large trash bags and any empty boxes needed for donations. If you do have any animals please make sure they’re kept in a different room while the organizers work on the room(s) needed.
Q: How do I get passed my embarrassment of my home?
A: You want to know the truth….The bigger the mess the easier it is for me to come up with a solution. It is such a common feeling but that is why I am here to help you. Please know there is no judgment on my end.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, my company is insured.
Q: What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A: If you need to cancel your session we request that you call within 48 hours of your appointment. Otherwise, there is a fee for one hour of service time.
Q: What are my business hours?
A: I am available seven days a week excluding holidays. Hours vary by client.
